   Daily Announcements
Greetings, [NAME]: here's what's happening at Rufus King!

Announcements for 2/21

  1. Abraham Lincoln once said "The ballot is stronger than the bullet." On July 7th, 1971, the 26 Amendment to the Constitution was ratified, giving 18-year-olds the right to vote. Voting is not only our constitutional right, but also our duty and responsibility. You can make an impact on your community by getting involved in the democratic process. If you are 18 years old or above today, you can register and vote in today's primary election at your local polling place. Bring two forms of identification which include your name, address, and some sort of document or identification number. If you have questions or have problems voting, call 1-866-OUR-VOTE. Get involved today on election day: YOU can make a difference. This message was brought to you by Amnesty International/ACLU as we celebrate Social Justice Week at King. Throughout this week, stay tuned for information and a call to action on important local issues affecting all of us. Together we can stand up for human rights!
