I believe that a free and public education is a right rather than a privilege and that all students deserve to learn in a safe and supportive environment. We can create this environment through positive relationships among all groups: teachers, students, parents, support staff, administration, and the community. The curriculum in my courses will require students to read, write, and think critically day in and day out. In US History students study and analyze the social, political, and economical aspects of America and its history. Through World Geography and Cultures students study the historical, geographical, and cultural aspects of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean Islands and Europe.
My own education includes graduating from South Division High School, earning a BA from Marquette University, taking education certification courses at Cardinal Stritch University, and I am currently working on a Master's Degree from UW-Milwaukee in Educational Policy and Community Studies. |
